![]() ![]() The confusing comment of "one connector via ROG_EXT" just means that you can use that USB 2.0 connector as part of a ROG_EXT connection. So for a quick glance at what differentiates the rear I/O panels, the X299 Extreme has two LAN ports, the X299 Apex has two black USB 2.0 ports, and the X399 Zenith Extreme has vent slits on the rear and top I/O panels.įor the ROG_EXT question, there is only one internal USB 2.0 connector. ![]() I don't know if Newegg posted the wrong photo or if Asus accidentally bundled the wrong X399 Zenith Extreme photo for Newegg to use, but that needs to be fixed.Īnd neweggbusiness has the correct photos and specs for the Apex are correct, with two rear USB 2.0 ports: Other than the one wrong photo, the other ten photos and all the specs on the neweggbusiness listing are correct. The erroneous photo is the one showing the two shark-fin WiFi antennas next to the rear I/O panel:īut even that photo for the X399 Zenith Extreme's rear I/O does not show USB 2.0 ports. On, there is one wrong photo that actually shows the rear I/O panel for the X399 Zenith Extreme, not the X299 Rampage VI Extreme. Umm, I do not see the "specks of 2 USB 2.0 ports" on neweggbusiness that you are seeing. I am not sure what this means: 1 x USB 2.0 connector support additional 2 USB 2.0 ports ? One internal USB port is there and you can add others with the ROG_EXT header? Is there special cable you but for this somewhere? Perhaps some sites are misreporting this. ![]() I have been seeing specks of 2 USB 2.0 ports (on Newegg business) but the only USB 2 connector I see is the 1 internal one on the motherboard. Ports 5 and 6 double as the Keybot and Flashback ports. If you look at page 2-17 it appears to list 4 intel USB 3.1 ports on the back panel for ports 3, 4, 5, 6. Maybe I have been staring at it too long but I think there may be issues with the manual or my interpretation of it. Join Date Jan 2013 Reputation 17 Posts 271 ![]()
